Transport of tomorrow

What do we ask at the transport of tomorrow ?
-reducing journey time
-reducing congestion
-protecting our environment
-improving safety

I choose 4 vehicules of tomorrow who respect these goals :

The fisrt vehicule that i have choose for illustrate the transport of tomorrow is This vehicle called Ultra (Urban Light Transport) and developed by the British company offers on-demand personal transport with virtually no waiting time to take individual passengers non-stop to their chosen destination. It is an electric vehicule.
The first ULTra (Urban LightTransport) system is actually under construction at the moment at Heathrow airport in London.
The low-floor vehicles have a seating capacity of four peoples. Although maximum speed is limited to 40 kilometres per hour, the non-stop service can make trip times two or three times faster than other urban transport.

The second vehicule is AGV developed by the french company alstom, its latest very high speed train capable of reaching a commercial speed of 360 kph
This train is particularly environmentally friendly, with a 15% lower energy consumption than its main competitors.

The third vehicule is a plane called A2. It should be nice with our environment, As it’s hydrogen-powered, so it produces only water vapor. It’s a green concorde The fastest airplane that is not built yet. With this plane in 25 years and you will be able to fly to Australia in under 5 hours against 22 hours today at speed of about 6000 km-per-hour.

But today and whithout expansive innovation, only the Bike is the transport completely clean so we can consider bike as a transport of tomorrow.

The bike is trend, most cities want their public bike sharing service.
This public transport is a revolutionary and new means of public transportation, using new technologies to facilitate fast and easy access to the user and organized to be a true public transport service for each individual. Public bike sharing service offers a new form of mobility, complementing the existing public transport. The service will cause a major transformation in the way people travel around cities and offers convenience, freedom of movement and time!
This transport service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week and is accessible for all. The stations are strategically placed at regular intervals throughout the city, located close to public transport hubs such as train-, metro-, and bus stations and at central locations like office and shopping areas as well as tourist attractions
The popularity of the service is easily explained as cities around the world are fighting traffic congestion, struggling to reduce pollution and working hard to extend their networks of public transportation. Additional benefits such as reducing theft of public bicycles as well as the obvious positive effect on public health also contribute to improving a city’s identity.

You can buy this shirt since November 22 last, at the price of 70€ on Internet. It isn't a joke, It's very expensive. I think that I will continue to support France without the shirt.

Quentin, the crazy driver.

For three months, I don't travelled by the train but I do carpool with Quentin. Quentin Cars's is Opel agila, the most beautiful cars in the world, of course.

So I'd like on this blog to talk to you about carpool. Today nearly 80% of people drive to work alone and about 38% drive alone in general. However there are lots of advantages in carpool : you save money by sharing the cost of driving one car as gasoline, parking or vehicule maintenance. What is more carpool decongest roads and reduce pollution and carbon dioxide emissions. There is one problem in carpool. The problem is organisation between participants. But today we can find web site with services to organise carpool (for example this web site >>> here). With carpool, we don't know strike of SNCF.

To conclude : What you can do to save the envirronment ? What you can do to avoid the strike of SNCF ? You can do carpool, it's simple and there are lots of advandages.

The subject of my oral presentation

This summer I worked in mcdonalds restaurants, so on this blog I would like to talk about Mcdonalds and its worldwide expansion.

The business bagan in 1940 with first restaurant opened by Mcdonalds brothers in California. With succesful expansion of Mcdonalds in the world, today it is the world’s largest chain of fast-food restaurants symbol of globalization and American way of life.

McDonald's restaurants are found in 120 countries around the world and serve nearly 54 million customers each day. In france the first mcdonalds opens in 1979 in strasbourg, today there are 1085 mcdonalds in france and serve nearly 1,2 million customers each day. I worked in one of these restaurant it’s a very good experiment because I learned methods commercial of sale. The objective is to sell always more and to offer to the customers a product moreover.

In 2004, documentary film Super Size Me showed that McDonald's food was contributing to the epidemic of obesity in society. Since this film Mcdonalds offers new product salads, fruit, and carrot sticks, more recently, practice the transparency of nutritional information.

It is funny to see a customers which take a meal with largest sandwitch "big tasty" with a large fries and to drink a diet coke, it’s ridiculous.

Today I understand the successful expansion of mcdo in the world because it meets the needs of customers and adapts to its customers wants.
